Former Clippers player, now with the Sixers, Elton Brand has signed on to co-produce the new Tupac film along side Afeni Shakur-Davis, Tupac’s mother, who is to executive produce the film. While Elton hasn’t had the best track record on the movie producing side after being sued numerous times in the past, looks like he is at it again, but shooting higher? Soulja Boy has reportedly been offered to star as Tupac, which has to make you wonder if this film will be any good? Soulja Boy? Out of all of the unknown and rising talent out there, where and why was his named pushed up the list? The film is to be directed by Antoine Fuqua, well known for the film Training Day. It is currently in production in Los Angeles, California, New York City, New York, Las Vegas, Nevada and Georgia. We’ll keep you updated as more details come.
